I think she's quite pretty .. and it's a fantastic picture by the way. (I love that color green - I can see me at Lowes, "Can you match
this?")
Some people are like "slinkies ". They're not really good for anything; but they still bring a smile to your face when
you push them down a flight of stairs.

I don't think we have those here. Thank goodness.
I think June Bugs are scary. The way they just fly mindlessly into everything and they're so *BIG*!.

No, June bugs look like really, really enormous flying beetles. They make a bunch of noise and they're even clumsier than young son's GF -- which is
pretty bad. You find them in Kansas a lot and I once saw one at a campground in Utah which kinda surprised me.
We had an actual, honest-to-goodness cicada in our yard a couple of months ago. I'd never seen one before and didn't even think we had them here but, after capturing it in a bottle for the two-year old grandson, hubby looked it up and it was a green-something-cicada. Wish I'd taken a picture of that. Is this another effect of climate change? (Which I don't blame solely on humans, BTW?) that we have cicadas in Denver and June Bugs in Utah? Does this mean maybe my grandchild could see a lightning bug someday -- without traveling the 900 miles to Kansas City?

I thought it might be a Katydid. I took a photo outside on the porch which I have on another site and one of the people said it was a Katydid. Sort of flying
grasshopper.
