I want to know also, I've not heard of Shavouot either. Sounds like you're adapting and readapting pretty darn good. As you well know it's all about trial and error from here on out and really always has been. I am very impressed with your perseverance to keep on improving yourself mentally and physically. Yep, some days we slide back but with your attitude more than not you're taking giant steps ahead in every way. *high 5 and a big YeeHaw*

Shavuot (literally meaning: weeks) - harvest festival.
The holiday - Shavuot is the third and final of the Regalim [special occasions, meaning the three occasions Jews used to go to the Temple House in Jerusalem. Those three holidays are three agricultural events - gathering (Succot), spring (Passover) and harvesting (Shavuot)]. It is a celebration of the harvest, the first fruits and vegetables. Traditionally people wear white and give each other baskets of fruits and vegetables (this isn't done much anymore). Shavuot marks the end of the Omer count and is exactly 50 days after the beginning of Passover (50 days after the Seder dinner)
Traditional foods: dairy products (cheeses, yogurts etc), cheese cakes, fruits and vegetables.
Usually celebrated in: end of May - beginning of June.

Wow, going back to work and trying to balance it with taking care of Tamar and the house and studying left me no time for blogging (or sleeping, actually) so this nice idea had sort of fell to pieces...
