The basic plot sounds funny - I am just wondering in what way they are planning to expand the plot so it may last for years.
Basically, it tells the story who has the power to touch and living people and make them dead, or touch dead people and bring them back to life. I'd say, a lot will depend on the scriptwriter and the cast. |

The TV Guide this week as a fall preview and this is what is said about Pushing Daisies.
"Daisies' premise is refreshingly original: Intimacy-challanged pie baker Ned can bring the dead back to life with a single touch. But touch them once more - this time they're gone for good. He puts his cursed gift to use in a side gig, helping private eye Emerson solve murder cases by resuscitating victims just long enough to learn the culprit's identity and collect a tidy reward. But when Ned discovers that his plucky childhood crush, Chuck (yes it's a girl), is one of the victims, he can't bear to lose her again. They've found their soulmates, but they can never touch or she's dead." sounds good.... |

I had the chance to watch the pre-air. It is funny, heart-warming but a tiny bit kitschy at times. Charming might describe it best. Pilot had me laughing which is a nice thing, and hopefully the writers will surprise the audience by coming up with many fresh ideas of plot development over the next months.Best movies I have seen in 2007, so far: favorite film 2007: The Good Night 10/10 best drama: Notes on a Scandal 8/10 best thriller: Mr. Brooks 9/10 best fantasy movie: Pan's Labyrinth 9/10 best horror: 28 Weeks Later 7/10 |

I read that it is in danger of being cancelled due to not high enough ratings and expense of production. A real shame as it is sucha good show. They made a big
mistake by not bringing it back when the writers strike was over in the spring.

This was probably one of 3 regular tv shows I watched. The show will be missed. I don't want network tv much anymore. Whenever a show that is smart and fun
to watch is on it is cancelled.
