I'm currently reading Furies of Calderon. It's an okay standard sort of fantasy. Nothing special, but keeping my interest.

I'm reading Peony in Love by Lisa See. She also wrote Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, which I really liked. I like this one so far (I'm maybe a third
into it), but it took me a little while to get into it. It's kind of heartbreaking, though.

Oooh, Mandabear - I loved that book. Don't think I posted about it at the time, though.
Currently reading The Suspicions of Mr Whicher: or the Murder at Road Hill House by Kate Summerscale. It's a new take on the story of Constance Kent, who supposedly murdered her three year old half brother when she was only a teen herself, all in mid 19th century England with a lot of stuff going on in the family. So far I'm quite enjoying it, particularly the detail on the Mr Whicher of the title, one of the earliest detective inspectors in the UK police force. |

The latest of the David Hunter series, written by Simon Beckett.
Really loved the first two .. .. the third one is, somehow, different. Setting is totally new, also the characters, .. I have read 50% of it and IMO, the book is getting better now
