Sneaky me! |
Lead | |
|
For months now, I've been telling my husband that he needs to donate some of his shirts that he hasn't worn for YEARS. His hanging space in the closet
is so full, they get all wrinkled. So....yesterday before work, I asked him to do some laundry.

Grrr...they're like little kids sometimes. But, my scheme worked!! However, I must remember that this situation isn't completer until some shirts are
thrown out. I mean, he's got shirts that he hasn't worn for 20,yes I said, 20 years.

So have I! And I have to fight that battle to keep them from being discarded. |

You nutty men. My husband has clothes he wore in college..and believe me that was years and years ago. Not that he still wears them..he just won't get rid
of them

Cutie, although it was sneaky-it's a lot more above board than what some people (both male and female) I know do to their spouses-
they wait til the husband or wife leaves, (especially if it is trash day) and dump their stuff in the garbage. The thing is-these same people would absolutely not tolerate it if their respectives spouses did the same thing to them. Oh, I hope that statement isn't as confusing as I think it is...! Let us know if you have success in the end. |

No, sublimosa, that statement wasn't confusing at all.
Cutie, hope it works for you. Honestly, my hubby is much easier to deal with in the clothes department. He doesnt' care what I do with clothing. The garage, on the other hand, is quite a different matter... I'm not even sure I'm allowed out there!

My biggest packrat is MiniLL. That girl is forever piling things up. At least she's a good "cleaner" when she sets her mind to it.

both my daughter and husband are pack rats...our attic is full of Vio's clothes and old toys that she can't stand to give up (I think she just
can't stand to go thru them all and clean them out)..and hubby is just as bad. I would love to get a dumpster and chute and just slide everything in the
attic down the chute into the dumpster.

Well..maybe one day cutie...lol.
Now my husbands all for getting rid of his shirts and giving them to the local shelters...unfortunately, unless I'm the one that takes them, they don't get there. |

Yeah, my mom, sis and I spent hours going through stuff and packing it to take to a local shelter...my sis was supposed to take it. I finally gave up on that
idea and did it myself!

yeah, my mom & sis went thru mom's closet and put lots of things in a bag to donate. That was months ago. Mom finally brought it to the donation center
the other day. WHEW!

Hi! I'm AirPrang and I'm a pack rat. Seriously though, I need to move soon and as a way of getting all the collections down I've gone through my clothes and have put aside anything I haven't worn in an age or can't remember when I last wore it. Some of the garments have already been sold on eBay, along with my books. It's a small start, but I'm chipping away. Sublimosa, I agree that's a terrible thing and I know people who do it, too. I never would. |

Update: 3 of the shirts he's gonna donate need to be ironed before he wears them ONE LAST TIME. Guess who the ironer's gonna be?
