I have Her Fearful Symmetry on order at the library, I really enjoyed The Time Traveler's Wife and hope this one is as good.

THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE isn't offered on Kindle - so this is the first I've read from that author and I've yet to be able to set down to read
at leisure .. maybe today, that first chapter just grabbed me

Hmmm, Saundra, I think my sister just finished that one. Something by Robin Cook for sure.
I just started The Eyre Affair by Jaspar Fforde. Hard to get into. Narrarator has unusual voice and apparently its a well used tape (sound quality is bad) and the layout is just like his nursery rhyme crime series. |

Robin Cook can be a good writer, but for me, Internvention just didn't make it.

Besides the stuff I have to read for school, I've got about half a dozen books on the go.
My main book right now (because it's easy and requires minimal thinking) is Second Soul by Thomas Sullivan. Also The Stories of Vladimir Nabokov Legal Executions in Western Australia The Door to Saturn by Clark Ashton Smith And I've recently picked up where I left off in The Book of Kings by James Thackara *Disclaimer: Not responsible for lost, stolen, or eaten body parts*

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie by Mary Ann Shaffer. This is a delightful book, but I heard the author died before her first book became a
bestseller.

Yes she did pass away before it was a bestseller. I was happy to see that her daughter got it published.
Still reading The Book Thief. Quite interesting. Easy read but now they're getting to the parts where they're killing the Jews. And if you help them with food while they're walking, you get whipped. So sad. So, I need to take a break every now & then. i have about 150 pgs to go. |
