I have been having a werewolf marathon/binge. I ordered an out of print book called "The Illustrated Werewolf Movie Guide" which features reviews of over 500 werewolf films/T.V. etc. but for some reason it includes films like "Pinocchio"?

It was made in the mid-nineties and had a semi-wide cinema release but apparently went unnoticed because the studio did not market it. It had quite a good run
on cable and eventually got a DVD release. It is a shame because it is one of the better werewolf films.

I just watched some footage of the dog from Bad Moon on YouTube. I'll have to look for it at the video store.

It is a good film which has not had enough exposure. The film has only two flaws (one minor, one major) to my mind: a cheesy one liner towards the end which
does not belong in a film like this and an entire pre-opening credit sequence which should have been cut. Also, a not very good CGI transformation sequence.

I saw THE FINAL DESTINATION 3-D film on Thursday night....and HALLOWEEN 2 on Friday afternoon. I have to say that I did not really enjoy either of them. I
wished that they did something very different with THE FINAL DESTINATION...if I had my way, I would have done it differently. HALLOWEEN 2 was
predictable.....

"Psychic Killer". 7.5/10.
"Van Hellsing". 5/10. "Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman". 9/10. "House of Frankenstein". 8/10. "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein". I was pleasantly surprised by "Psychic Killer". Worth watching (maybe) if it was on late at night T.V. If you watch the trailer you don't need to watch the film.

"The Beyond". 0/10.
You'd have to be a real connoisseur of garbage to find anything worthwhile in this film. A series/string of set pieces of unnecessary/over the top violence. However, I thought "The House of Clocks" (by the same director) was a work of genius.

Dead Snow. Eine! Zwei! Die! as the trailer proclaims. Silly good looking students on vacation disturb slumbering evil. Magic.

Really? Silly good-looking students would do something like that? And were they fully clothed whilst they disturbed said evil? Because, let me tell you,
nothing ticks off a disturbed slumbering evil more than nudity. Especially when that nudity is running through a forest.

The American version of Dark Water.
I don't know, aside from The Ring, I've preferred the original Japanese versions of their horror movies over the American re-makes. The Japanese versions seem to have more atmosphere. *Disclaimer: Not responsible for lost, stolen, or eaten body parts*

"Carry On Screaming". In my opinion the best British horror film ever made.
"Dead Snow". I watched 1/3 of it and then sold in on EBay. "Timecrimes". 10/10. Have to watch it again.

And thanks for the heads up on Dead Snow, Ian. I actually looked at this in HMV and considered buying it. Think I'll wait to rent it. *Disclaimer: Not responsible for lost, stolen, or eaten body parts*

Ooh! I forgot! A couple of weeks ago I watched Let the Right One In. It was kinda different than what I expected. But I still thought some of the scenes were
interesting.
