I remember reading that book. It really moved me. It was our book of the month..we still have the discussion in the Book of the Month archive if you want to
read it when you are done.

Thanks Saundra. I'll check it out. Just finished it a new moments ago. It needs to be back at the library tomorrow.

well I can comment now that I actually broke down and cried when I read that book...something that hadn't happened in years.

I cried over The Book Thief, too. Very rare occurrence for me.
I just finished Henrietta's War: News from the Home Front 1939-1942 and have made a bare beginning on Affinity by Sarah Waters We leave for Portland on Saturday and I have to decide what to take with me. I have a ton of library books out but hate to schlepp them around.

Don't know what I'm currently reading... between books for a minute. |

The Keepsake by Tess Gerritsen
Mohawk was less than memorable.

The Keepsake was a good book, but I thought The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen was even better. |

MDJ, that's interesting. wasn't crazy about Bone Garden. (can't remember exactly, but thought one of the storylines really dragged.
Reading Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman so far, it is charming.

I downloaded about 6 books to my Kindle - I have no idea what I'll be picking next.
But either TRUE BLUE by David Baldacci or CHEATING DEATH (more title) by Sanjay Gupta I think

The Watchman by Robert Crais. I love Joe and Elvis!!
Sublimosa, I have read all of the Tempe Brennan series. I'm not sure Devil Bones was as good as her first few books but I did think it was an improvement over the last couple of books. I'll certainly read 206 Bones now. I haven't read Wicked, but I did see it London when I was over a year ago and it was awesome!! From what I hear though, there's a big difference between the book and the show.
