Nope Mosa .. I'd be getting them out of the cupboard and whapping them in the head .. I was mad ! and now I'm laughing at LL and her husband has lived
long enough to do those kind of things .. what a hoot !

So ... today my husband goes to the grocery and buys two WHOLE chickens ?? I don't even like meat that much and he buys TWO WHOLE ones ??? I said what do
you do with that, and he says whatever you do with chickens - I told him I normally would have fed THEM but it appears someone has whacked their heads off -
SteveO is cooking chickens this afternoon, I invited my sister and brother in law over to help him since they cook all the time .. I'm going to drink beer
on the porch with my sister unless she's the one cooking chickens.
Good Grief !! bringing home chickens and expecting me to be a flippin butcher .. Holy Moly where's his mind all of the sudden, we've been married 10 years and I don't even buy anything but pieces of meat that don't look like the animal it came from .. at least that way I don't feel like such a cannibal. (sorry for the rant)

ah, I was feeling blue, but I think I'm over it now.
I mean, no one has lopped off my head, nor asked me to cook two chickens, so I guess things could be worse, right? (Thank you, Gaye.)

When they time changed, I went into my slightly depressed mode. The reality of winter is here.

They've been getting in my house too Cutie - kind of unnerving really .. I've found 3 by the front door (2 dead) and one on the ceiling fan in the past
couple of days. I'm beginning to feel like I'm in the Amnytiville Horror house.

Don't panic, but they can crawl into tight areas of your house. One year, my parents kept finding yellow jackets in their home. When the problem had been
taken care of by a professional, he counted over 6,000 yellow jackets that he'd killed!!!!

Usually though, there is only a small nest somewhere.

I think the nest is somewhere in the chimney since that's where I notice them come in. But, when we do have a fire, they don't come in. And the nest is
never burned away. So, who knows? We just deal/live with them. It's not that bad. It's not like The Birds even tho that was an awesome movie.

Tony got stung by a wasp outside of his work last week...right on his ear! ouch!

Cutie, if they're high up in the chimney, then the nest wouldn't burn. Also, smoke calms them down and, I understand, makes them groggy (sleepy).
******* GG, I feel for Tony. Not long ago, LegoBoy was stung seven times by a next of yellow jackets. It didn't help that he'd been throwing mud/rocks at the nest. He said that he wanted them to be so miserable that they left their home. Of course, all he did was make them mad.

I was in Austin and went to Target with my sister & daughter. I felt something that felt like a paper cut around one of my cuticles of a finger. But--it
was a wasp:eek. R___noticed it in the cart. It fell on the floor and my daughter ran over it with the cart. Instant kill!!
