At least one every two weeks, I hear a story about a young man like Jeff who has disappeared. Where are these men going? It is scary because not all of them are runaways.

Just thought I would spread the word about a young man who is currently missing. He has friends in different parts of Canada and the United States.

His mom is convinced that he ran away from home...he was at college and if stress of schooling was bothering him...he could have gone home....a lot of kids do
that.

If he did run away, he should've at least called. If not, we'll pray for his safe return.

No, there is nothing.
I wanted everyone reading to be aware that police discovered that on the day Jeff disappeared (January 26, 2009) he crossed the Canadian border at Niagara Falls into Buffalo, NY. It is not believed that Jeff is a victim of foul play but it has been stated he may have been depressed. There is serious concern for his well being. There is a strong possibility that Jeff is in the USA. This makes the search for Jeff more difficult as the family is Canadian and does not have many contacts/family in the States. This is an appeal to everyone (especially those in the USA) to please assist in the search for Jeff by joining the facebook group Help Find Jeff Renaud. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=58814979533 The facebook group has all information/updates on Jeff and his disappearance. Jeff's disappearance has had some local media attention in the area he went missing but not much else. The more people that know Jeff is missing the better. Thanks in advance for your help. |

When a child goes missing...it garners media attention...when an adult disappears...it may get a few news stories, but that is it. There have been a number
of disappearances in BC, as I have mentioned in previous threads. Why are these young men disappearing? Depression? For some, yes, but not for others.
Pray that there are answers to why these young men are vanishing and pray for their families. Daniel Hughes who disappeared in June...his remains were recently found. As tragic as it is, at least his family knows where he is and have comfort in KNOWING!!! |

While I understand his family's concerns, an adult has every right to leave his current life and embark on a new one if he so desires; and, from everything
you've posted here, that is exactly what this young man did.
His own mother seems to believe that his "disappearance" was voluntary and that he is NOT the victim of any kind of foul play. The reason these sorts of stories do not garner the kind of media attention that stories of missing children do is that adults are presumed to be competent and mature enough to make their own decisions about where they want to live and with whom they wish to have contact; especially in a case like this, where there are several indications that he left of his own free will. |

some people do runaway, but it does not garner them the right to do so as it brings a lot of pain and suffering for the family, the friends and others who are
affected by a person's choice in running away.
I can list 10 people who did NOT runaway from home! They had no reason to runaway! |

another missing boy...from Texas. His family attends the same church as some family friends of mine. His family is worried sick about him. His name is Luke
Dillier

I typed Luke Dillier in yahoo search, but I accidentally pressed maps. The weird thing is that it went directly to Lake Dallas. Now, I have tried other
people's names, but the yahoo maps would not recognize it. Of all the places that yahoo maps could have gone, why did it pick a location near where the
young boy disappeared from???

I hope so...I can understand why a person would runaway from home because I have been there. The scarier part is it is worse after running away.

I live in Texas and the Luke story was big down here. But he was a kid (various reports put him at either 14 or 15; definitely under 18).
Was there ever any explanation as to what, exactly, happened to Luke?? Was he kidnapped? Did he run away? Did he have a seizure or something that caused him to become disoriented? |

There is no publically announced reasons for why he "ran away" from home. I believe the family would like to keep that private, as right they
should. It is important that he is home safe and sound than the reasons for him running away in the first place.
