I'm always curious about the usernames we choose. Of course, those of you who use your real names are so open. Hmmm, I suppose that makes me curious, too.

What does your username mean?

Kane is my "maiden" name. My married name is too distinctive. So I don't use it.

Ah, that makes sense. I just am not comfy with putting my name out there! Maybe I have watched too many crime shows!
Okay, here's a major quirk--sometimes, I imagine what would happen if I were murdered/disappeared and the police had to come in and check out my place--I think about all of the hair/fibers/fingerprints/DNA, etc. they'd find and what conclusions they'd draw from the info. And what my neighbors would say when they asked about me...and then there's the computer....!

Sublimosa doesn't "mean" anything. Well, it's actually some sort of plant life or fungus, I think, but I didn't know it at the time I started using it. An old friend and I used to get into these discussions on what constituted sublimation (in the sociological sense, not the chemical sense) For a while, I was fascinated with the notion and I needed a username...not sure where the "osa" part came from.

Josephine Belladonna (aka Josie Bell) is my puppy dog's name

She's my little (approximately) 9 year old baby yorkie. My husband and I rescued her on my dad's birthday the year after he passed away....and a couple months before our wedding

She is a very special girl.

I'm an Alice (Lewis Carroll) aficionado; although I was WAY more into it about 5-10 years ago. I'm a singer, and have quite a collection of "Alice in Wonderland"-related music for voice. My favorite character is the mock turtle. (I have no idea why; perhaps because I feel sorry for him crying - and I like the original Tenniel illustration of the mock turtle). Anyway, the mock turtle sings the song about "beautiful soup." And in all the music I've collected, I have to say that the "Beautiful Soup" song settings are the best, really.
So, there you have it: beautifulsoup.

GG...well long, long ago..when I first got internet, and things weren't as scary as they are today...I used to go to the yahoo chat rooms...I always wound up in the same room as this one guy, who liked to read my stories (which are posted on a certain website that shall remain nameless). He always welcomed me to the chat room with "Ah, the Goddess of the Gutter has arrived" I was a member at the time of BigBigForums with the username missydcpc. I'd gotten tired of telling people that missy was my first name, d is my last initial, and cpc was my title. Not that I was missy from dc on my computer. So when I signed up with EZ I wanted a new name...I took the title GG from there.

most of the people over there didn't like the redbookmag format, so some formed a board on ezboard. It's called womendotcommers.com. Now, it's on yuku. GG, kat was on the sex board also. Anyway, now that's everyone's older than 10-15 yrs. ago, it's more of a chit-chat board

Mine is a nicname my nieces and nephews use ... instead of saying Aunt and my name, they shortened it to Auntiem.
Nothing to do with Toto and Dorothy at all.
