Momluvs,
"Things My Girlfriend And I Have Argued About by Mil Millington" sounds like it could be interesting. What is it about? Is it humorous? |

The Lost Dog by Michelle de Kretser
It's won and been shortlisted for so many literary awards it's not funny, and while it is very well written I'm not really warming to the characters or the storyline. Ah well. |

Tribute by Nora Roberts. I just found that this movie is on Apr. 11 but want to read the book first.

I just finished Ender in Exile, which is a good read for Ender fans; probably not a great starting place for people new to Ender. I just started reading Jim
Butcher's the Furies of Calderon.

MY 19yo loves the Ender books.. If that's his newest book, ,maybe I'll get him that for his Easter basket.

Changed my mind
It's Seven Minutes To Noon by Kate Pepper. Gotta read the books I got in 2008 first.

I got tired of waiting for a Kindle edition of 2666 by Robert Balano and bought the box set of three trade
paperbacks (same price as the hardcover!). I'm currently about 150 pages in to book one. Despite the slow start and obvious resemblances to Shadow of the Wind, I'm enjoying it.

Cold Granite by Stuart McBride. It's his first novel, set in Aberdeen and about a serial killer targetting very young kids and so far, despite some grisly
content, it's a hoot. Quite a lot of sardonic observations, well drawn cast of characters and a real sense of place although even just reading I'm
getting as sick of the rain as the poor police who have to be out in it. So far a very promising police procedural.
